Furniture assembly & storage
Assembly and dismantling of beds, desks, tables, bookcases, wardrobes and flat-pack furniture. Small furniture repairs, suitable anti-tip anchoring, wardrobe rails, extra shelves, shoe storage and internal organisers.
Doors, handles & wardrobe doors
Adjustments for rubbing or sticking internal doors, hinges and squeaks; handles, latches, strike plates, privacy locks, stops and closers. Sliding wardrobe rollers, guides, stops and door alignment.
Cupboards, drawers & kitchen storage
Cupboard hinge adjustment and replacement, door alignment, loose screw connections and handles. Drawer runners, fronts and soft-close fittings; internal bins, pull-out baskets, organisers and shelf supports.
Pictures, mirrors & shelving
Hanging pictures, mirrors, clocks, decorative panels and wall accessories. Installation of wall and floating shelves, coat and key racks, kitchen rails and storage tracks, using fixings suitable for the wall and item.
Curtains & manual blinds
Curtain rods, tracks, brackets, rings, carriers and end pieces. Manual roller and venetian blind installation and suitable bracket, mechanism or chain replacements, including appropriate child-safety restraints.
Windows, flyscreens & draught seals
Minor window hardware, compatible handles, latches, stays and seals. Flyscreen mesh and spline replacement; screen-door rollers, handles, latches and closers. Door-bottom strips, draught and insect seals. No glass replacement.
Wall repairs, painting & sealant
Small plasterboard patches, fixing holes and minor impact repairs. Paint touch-ups to repaired areas, small wall surfaces, doors, frames and skirting; loose or damaged decorative trims; suitable surface silicone and sealant joints. Work is assessed for hidden damage and suitability.
Bathroom fittings & toilet seats
Standard and soft-close toilet seats, seat hinges and fixings; towel rails, toilet-roll holders, soap holders, shower shelves and mirrors. Compatible shower-door rollers, handles, magnetic seals and bottom sweeper seals.
Smoke alarms & bulb replacement
Maintenance of user-serviceable battery smoke alarms: replaceable batteries, exterior cleaning, manufacturer-specified tests and age checks. Suitable battery alarm installation and compatible wireless pairing; replacement of user-changeable bulbs in existing sockets. Hardwired work is handled by appropriately licensed trades.
Child-safety fittings & clotheslines
Suitable cupboard and drawer catches, child gates and blind-chain restraints. Wall-folding clotheslines, line replacement, loose fittings and supports. Product and fixing suitability are reviewed before installation.
Garage shelving & storage
Assembly and installation of ready-made garage shelves, tool boards, bicycle brackets, equipment hooks and storage cupboards. Wall-mounted items are assessed for the surface, fixing method and intended load.
Gates, fences & outdoor fittings
Small garden gate and timber fence repairs: hinges, latches, bolts, gate adjustments and a few damaged boards. Letterboxes, house numbers and name plates; suitable ready-made pet doors in timber doors or flyscreens and flap replacements.
Moving-in setup & finishing
Help with the jobs after a move: furniture assembly, TV mounting, curtains, shelves and mirrors, plus filling old mounting holes. Send your task list so the work and order can be planned together.
Smart-home setup & support
Setup of compatible smart bulbs, plug-in smart sockets and LED lighting; wireless buttons, remotes, battery curtain motors, hubs, voice assistants and sensors. Infrared TV or air-conditioner controls, robot vacuums, plug-in Wi-Fi extenders and routines. Re-pairing, battery changes and user guidance; no fixed wiring under general handyman work.
Plumbing repairs & connections
Enquiries for tap replacement and dripping taps, under-sink leaks, shower heads and hoses, toilet cisterns, basin wastes and drains, and washing-machine or dishwasher water connections. We work with appropriately licensed people whenever the job requires it; scope is confirmed before work is accepted.
Electrical installations & repairs
Power points, USB outlets, switches, dimmers and hardwired smart controls; pendants, ceiling lights, downlights, wall and outdoor lights; cabinet lighting and motion sensors. Ceiling fans, exhaust fans, heater-light-fan units, illuminated mirrors, hardwired smoke alarms, heated towel rails and small faults. Work requiring a licence is carried out by appropriately licensed trades.
Cameras, smart locks & alarms
Enquiries for compatible wireless cameras, video doorbells, smart locks and wireless alarms, including mounting, device setup and notifications. Security work and any fixed electrical or data cabling are assessed and handled by appropriately authorised people where required.
